Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced ColdFusion developer to support ongoing maintenance, backlog delivery, and documentation. This remote, as-needed role focuses on legacy ColdFusion applications handling environmental review, permitting, data management, and regulatory reporting.

The position emphasizes hands-on coding and technical writing, with backlog triage and knowledge-transfer activities. Availability for periodic coordination during Pacific hours is expected, and the role is well-suited

Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on ColdFusion/CFML development experience.
Strong SQL skills for troubleshooting relational databases.
Experience with version control systems (SVN and/or Git).
Ability to write clear technical documentation in addition to coding.
Comfortable working independently on an as-needed, variable-hours basis.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve defects across ColdFusion applications and related issues.
Diagnose document retrieval and authentication/authorization problems.
Implement prioritized enhancements from the backlog.
Reproduce, fix, and validate changes in development/test environments and prepare releases.
Document root causes and recurring patterns for maintenance.
