Job summary

University of Colorado Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Coding Quality Assurance Specialist to join our remote Coding Services team. This position will focus on supporting the quality assurance through regular auditing of coding staff work, ensuring compliance with current CPT and ICD 10 standards.

Successful candidates will have 2-4 years of auditing experience, a CPC or AHIMA coding certification, and strong E/M leveling skills. You'll be instrumental in identifying education opportunities and enhancing revenue cycle performance.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a dedicated auditing position.
• Extensive knowledge regarding current ICD 10 and CPT rules.
• Ability to assist in trending, coding analysis, and providing education.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance for Coding Services staff through regular auditing.
• Maintain records of all audits for reference and trending.
• Monitor the quality of coding staff work as directed by management.

Skills

CPC or AHIMA coding certification

Strong skills in E/M leveling

Basic knowledge and skills in reporting and analytics

Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 coding standards

Skilled in navigating EMR systems
