Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• AAPC or AHIMA (CCS, CPC, RHIT or RHIA) certification is required.
• 3+ years of Outpatient Facility coding and auditing experience.
• 1+ years of experience working with quality leadership to improve reimbursement and coding accuracy.
• 1+ years of experience with computer assisted coding technologies and EMR coding workflow.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and demonstrate expert knowledge of coding, coding operations, coding review of all coding staff (domestic and global).
• Drive integration of coding objectives within client environments.
• Communicate impact of compliance issues and risks to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regulators (e.g., CMS) to address compliance issues.
• Conduct internal monitoring/auditing to identify process gaps and address risks.
• Identify root causes of compliance issues and support mitigating actions.
• Analyze audit results to identify risks and communicate findings.
• Develop and deliver training on compliance issues and risks.
• Consult with stakeholders to drive effectiveness of compliance programs.
• Partner with learning organizations to develop training offerings.
