Job summary

Gundersen Health System, in partnership with Emplify Health, is seeking a Coding Integrity Specialist to ensure accurate and compliant coding across our organization. The role emphasizes auditing, education, and collaboration with coding, clinical, and revenue cycle teams to drive quality improvements.

You will conduct audits, provide feedback, monitor practices, and lead multiple projects while working with system-wide teams in a mission-driven health network.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of healthcare coding experience (hospital or multi-specialty clinic setting).
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct coding audits to ensure compliance with coding guidelines, payer requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Provide education and feedback to coding staff and leadership based on audit findings.
• Monitor documentation and coding practices to identify improvement opportunities for providers and coders.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Coding leadership, and Clinical Documentation teams on process improvements and regulatory updates.
• Manage multiple audit projects, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
