Job summary

Core Clinical Partners seeks a Coding Compliance Specialist to extract clinical information from EMR systems and ensure correct CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding under CMS guidelines.

This remote role requires 1–2 years in hospital or physician practice coding, EHR/EMR experience, and a Bachelor’s degree; RHIA, CPC, CCS, CCS-P credentials are preferred. Occasional travel for meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• RHIA, CDI, CPC, CCS, CCS-P credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to ensure accurate PM or CPT coding based on documentation.
• Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes according to guidelines.
• Audits and addresses coding discrepancies to improve accuracy and compliance.
• Stay up-to-date with coding changes and payer policies.
• Provide education and feedback to coders and leadership.
