Job summary

Sound Physicians in Nashville and nationwide seeks a Coding Compliance Educator to translate audit findings into practical education for providers and clinical leadership across service lines. You will prepare materials and deliver sessions on coding, documentation, and compliance.

The role requires CPC/CCS/CCS-P credentials, advanced CPT/ICD-10-CM knowledge, and strong presentation skills; travel is minimal. Remote-friendly role with competitive benefits and salary range.

Qualifications

• Active coding credential (CPC/CCS/CCS-P/COC/RHIT/RHIA or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive coding compliance auditing or provider education experience.
• Experience educating physicians or clinical leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver coding, documentation, and compliance education to providers and clinical leadership across assigned service lines.
• Translate audit findings, coding trends, and regulatory changes into practical education.
• Respond to provider questions regarding coding, documentation, billing, and compliance in a timely manner.
• Research and apply CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, modifiers, CMS requirements, and related guidance.
• Create and maintain educational materials, presentations, and job aids to support accurate coding practices.
• Lead education sessions with providers, sites, and leadership across service lines.
