Job summary

University Health is seeking a Corporate Professional Coding Auditor and Educator to ensure accurate, compliant professional coding across the organization. The role conducts audits and identifies risk and revenue opportunities while educating physicians and coding staff to support compliant documentation and reimbursement.

The position partners with Compliance, Revenue Integrity, CDI and Provider Leadership to mitigate audit risk and promote best practices in professional fee coding.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Credentialed with RHIT, RHIA, CCS or CPC.
• 5+ years of professional coding experience across inpatient, outpatient or physician coding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and independent judgment skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, compliant and optimized professional (physician) coding across the organization.
• Perform proactive and reactive coding audits; identify risk and revenue opportunities.
• Provide targeted education to physicians, APPs and coding staff to support regulatory compliance and documentation integrity.
