Job summary

Albany Medical Center in New York is seeking a Professional Coding Auditor to act as a service line coding team lead. You will audit CPT and ICD-10 codes, guide staff, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

The role is remote with onsite education to providers as needed. CPC certification and at least two years of professional fee coding experience are required; strong communication and LEAN skills are welcome.

Qualifications

• Two years or more experience in professional fee coding.
• CPC Certification is required upon hire.
• Knowledge of multiple coding specialties preferred.
• Experience with provider professional fee coding and charge processing.
• Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze CPT/ICD-10 codes for compliance and accuracy.
• Ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
• Act as service line coding expert guiding staff.
• Assist Supervisor in daily coding team operations.
• Define coding rules to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in testing and integration of systems.
• Assist in policy/procedure creation and updates.
• Lead denials management and educate providers/staff.
