Job summary

North Healthcare is seeking a Coder I to join our remote coding team. You will review, analyze and code diagnostic and procedural information using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding for reimbursement.

The role requires one year hospital coding experience and certification such as CPC, CCS, CIC-ICD, RHIA or RHIT. This fully remote position requires residing in Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia, Mississippi, North Carolina or South Carolina.

Qualifications

• One year hospital coding in healthcare setting is required.
• Certifications include CCS or CIC-ICD or CPC or RHIA or RHIT or CCA as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and code diagnostic and procedural information using ICD-10-CM and CPT for reimbursement.
• Assign and sequence ICD-10-CM/CPT codes by applying regulatory coding guidelines.
• Query physicians for diagnoses or missing/ambiguous information for accurate coding.
• Follow organizational documentation policies and procedures and coding guidelines.
