Qualifications

• Proven professional experience as COBOL Developer or Mainframe Developer.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming and legacy mainframe environments.
• Familiarity with JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM; strong analytical writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret existing COBOL codebases, workflows, and business logic.
• Develop clear documentation of COBOL programs, system processes, and requirements.
• Review COBOL code, pseudocode, and project scenarios for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, potential defects, and areas needing clarification.
• Annotate COBOL scripts to support AI training dataset development.
• Design and review test cases representing real-world COBOL/mainframe apps.
• Provide guidance on legacy system architecture, integrations, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with project coordinators and technical experts via clear communication.
• Ensure submitted materials meet high standards of accuracy and completeness.
