Job summary

The Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) seeks a Director of Education & Events to lead planning and execution of accredited and non-accredited educational programs for physicians and healthcare professionals across Ohio. This role serves as OSMA's primary resource for CME, ACCME accreditation, and educational events.

This remote-first position offers access to the Columbus office as needed, with occasional travel and evening/weekend event support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five to seven years of experience in continuing education, event management, association management, healthcare, or related field.
• Experience managing ACCME-accredited CME programs, including accreditation compliance and reporting (preferred).
• Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts.
• Familiarity with PARS reporting system is a plus.
• Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Office apps and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom/GoToWebinar).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of accredited and non-accredited educational programs, conferences, webinars, and meetings.
• Partner with physicians, planning committees, specialty societies, and speakers to develop content and learning opportunities.
• Own the full event lifecycle: contracts, venues, registration, AV, catering, marketing, and onsite execution.
• Maintain ACCME accreditation and CME compliance processes.
• Develop and manage budgets; pursue sponsorships and partnerships.
• Build relationships with physicians, sponsors, exhibitors, and stakeholders.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities to enhance offerings.
