Job summary

Comerit is seeking a self-motivated software architect/developer for a remote, cloud-based full stack built with Go, PHP, and JavaScript. You’ll join a small team to build new software, add features, and maintain existing functionality.

The role focuses on frontend and backend delivery, REST/gRPC APIs, DevOps, and scalable design in a startup environment with occasional in-person team events in Elk Grove, CA.

Qualifications

• This role requires designing and implementing full stack solutions from non-technical specs.
• 3+ years of professional coding with Go, PHP, Python, Ruby or similar server-side languages.
• 2+ years of professional coding with JavaScript.
• 3+ years in SQL database design (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle/MSSQL).
• Experience with RESTful and/or gRPC APIs and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement frontend and backend features from specs into working software.
• Build new features and maintain existing functionality on cloud-based stack.
• Collaborate with a small team using Slack and Google Meet for coordination.
• Ensure security-conscious practices and scalable architectures.
