Job summary

Lumen is the trusted network for AI-powered world, connecting people, data, and applications through our expansive fiber network. This Cloud Security Engineer role protects cloud and enterprise infrastructure across MFA, DLP, Email Security, and Endpoint Security in a remote-friendly setup.

You will design, implement, and support security solutions, collaborate with IT teams, and stay ahead of threats while enabling secure AI workloads for customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information/Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field, or relevant experience.
• Experience in cloud security and knowledge of MFA, DLP, Email Security, as well as Endpoint Security.
• Candidate must be able to obtain Government Suitability.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus software.
• Possess or be willing to pursue relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCSP.
• Engineer Associate, or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts in the cloud.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for cloud security.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies related to cloud security.
• Provide operational engineering support for Multifactor Authentication, Endpoint Security, Email Security and Data Loss Prevention as needed.
