Job summary

First Due is seeking a Cloud Security Software Engineer to design autonomous AI tools that secure our cloud platforms. You will translate complex security requirements into production‑grade agents and workflows.

You’ll build agent-driven data ingestion, investigations, and reporting components, aligning with NIST SP 800‑53, FedRAMP High, and AWS security practices.

This fully remote role requires a strong engineering foundation and a passion for secure, scalable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong programming foundation in Python, Go, or TypeScript with production-grade experience.
• Demonstrated AI/LLM experience with autonomous agents and agentic tooling.
• Ability to translate complex system requirements into autonomous AI tools.
• Understanding of cloud-native security concepts, including IAM and secure API interaction.
• Familiarity with agentic patterns and orchestration of multi-step workflows.
• Strong reasoning and debugging to benchmark agent precision and reduce false positives.
• Ability to thrive in high-velocity, high-accountability environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Ability to obtain Security+ within the first year.

Responsibilities

• You will be the fast-paced integrator behind the Cloud Security Plane of our solutions.
• Develop agent-driven workflows for platforms like FedRAMP High Cloud-Native SIEM and Tier 1 Agentic SOC.
• Implement security controls per NIST SP 800-53 / 800-171 and related frameworks.
