Job summary

DeepHealth is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to design, deploy, and operate security controls across cloud and enterprise environments. You will develop detection content, automate security tasks, and ensure controls are version-controlled and auditable.

The role collaborates with the Director of Security Operations and supports a regulated healthcare setting. Responsibilities include onboarding log sources, tuning EDR, and implementing policy-as-code across GCP, AWS, and Azure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in security operations or security engineering (Required).
• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2+ years cloud security across major providers (GCP/AWS preferred).
• 2+ years tuning a SIEM with detection content and log sources.
• 1+ year administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID security in a hybrid directory.
• Scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2.
• Clear written and verbal communication of technical findings.
• Available for incident response outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, integrate, and tune security tooling across cloud and corporate environments.
• Develop and maintain detection content, correlation rules, and response automation in SIEM/SOAR.
• Onboard new log sources and telemetry feeds; validate ingestion and normalization.
• Administer and tune EDR tooling; configure policies and guardrails.
• Implement policy-as-code and preventive guardrails using cloud policy engines.
• Support cloud security posture management across GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Document changes; maintain runbooks, playbooks, and procedures.
• Assist incident detection and response with hands-on investigations.
