Job summary

Peraton is seeking a motivated AWS Cloud Engineer to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of critical platforms supporting data-driven decisions. This remote role involves day-to-day application support, infrastructure maintenance, and automation to improve efficiency.

You will design and deploy secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, monitor environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and follow best practices.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• 8+ years of experience with AWS architecture, networking, security, serverless/microservices, and containers.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience monitoring and troubleshooting SaaS logs.
• Strong scripting in Python and Bash; Ansible a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
• Own automation end-to-end from IaC to production operations and monitoring.
• Provide day-to-day customer application support and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and security teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, and SOPs for all environments.
