Job summary
Upstart is seeking a DevOps Engineer (L4) to evolve the Cloud Platform tooling behind our AI-powered lending marketplace. You will partner with SRE, Delivery, InfoSec, and Product/ML teams to improve reliability, developer experience, and cost efficiency across a platform used by nearly every engineering team.

Qualifications
- 3+ years operating Kubernetes in production environments.
- Proficiency with AWS infrastructure (VPC, networking, IAM).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or AWS CDK).
- GitOps workflows with ArgoCD or similar.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate Kubernetes clusters across production, staging, and epoxy environments.
- Evolve AWS infrastructure and network architecture to support multi-team workloads.
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows (Terraform, CDK, ArgoCD).
- Define and drive SLOs, analyze incidents, implement systemic fixes.
- Lead incident response and post-incident reviews to improve platform reliability.
