Eliassen Group is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to manage cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS on a contract basis. The role emphasizes data rehydration, disaster recovery, and security compliance to support business continuity.
The ideal candidate will bring DevOps automation skills, scripting proficiency in Python/PowerShell/Bash, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure service availability and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years in Cloud Operations, DevOps, SRE, or Infra Ops.
- Experience with Azure Blob Archive, Azure Backup, Recovery Services Vault.
- Experience with AWS S3 Glacier retrieval.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support cloud infra across Azure and AWS for availability.
- Execute end-to-end data rehydration and recovery from archiving.
- Manage rehydration using Azure Blob Archive, Backup, and recovery vaults.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during recovery events.
- Develop automation to streamline rehydration workflows.
- Build monitoring, dashboards, and alerts for rehydration ops.
- Document runbooks and post-incident reviews.
