Job summary

Ardent Management Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer for a remote role. You will design, implement, and support secure connectivity across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments, monitor performance, and maintain comprehensive documentation.

You will troubleshoot complex network issues, coordinate changes, and ensure least-privilege access and secure configurations. Strong collaboration with infrastructure, security, and operations teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 5+ years in network engineering or cloud networking.
• Experience designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise networks across cloud, hybrid, on-premises.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, segmentation, firewalls, load balancing, virtual networks, security groups, gateways.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud platforms and connectivity to legacy/on‑prem environments.
• Experience monitoring performance, latency, throughput, and health indicators with enterprise tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity across apps, infra, cloud services, gateways, and legacy systems.
• Experience with network configuration management, change control, incident management, root-cause analysis, service restoration.
• Knowledge of least privilege, segmentation, access controls, secure connectivity, and configuration management.
• Ability to develop and maintain network diagrams, inventories, docs, procedures, and support records.
• Experience with IT service management processes, ticketing, change planning, testing, rollback, CAB support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem networks.
• Monitor health, latency, throughput, availability, and risks; coordinate actions.
• Maintain network diagrams, inventories, and configurations in approved repositories.
• Investigate and resolve incidents across application, infrastructure, and cloud boundaries.
• Support secure bidirectional connectivity and hybrid monitoring behind gateways.
• Plan and support network changes through change-control procedures.
• Provide monthly reports on integration, availability, capacity, incidents, and changes.
