Job summary

BeyondTrust, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to extend on-prem networking to AWS, focusing on FedRAMP-aligned infrastructure and hybrid connectivity. You will liaison between Network and Cloud Ops while mentoring staff and maintaining IaC tooling.

You will design VPCs, Transit Gateways, VPN/Direct Connect, and Route 53, ensuring security controls meet ISO 27001, SOC2, and FedRAMP standards. A strong emphasis on documentation and cross-team collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years total network administration/engineering experience, including 2+ years hands-on AWS cloud networking work with VPC design, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect, Route 53, security controls across hybrid environments.
• 3–5 hands-on experience with Cisco NX-OS/IOS/IOS-XE, Dell, and Palo Alto equipment.
• CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience implementing and maintaining security controls aligned with ISO 27001, SOC2, and FedRAMP.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills — clear network diagrams, IPAM records, and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain BeyondTrust's on-premises and cloud network infrastructure across hybrid environments.
• Design and implement AWS network architectures (VPCs, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect, Route 53).
• Lead CIDR range overlap remediation and re-IP work with minimal disruption.
• Serve as liaison between Network and Cloud Ops on design, changes, and incident coordination.
• Mentor Network Administrators on cloud networking and best practices.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform/Ansible; contribute to automation libraries.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations and resolve Tier-1/2 escalations.
• Maintain network diagrams, IPAM records, architecture docs, and SOPs.
