Job summary

Cisco is seeking a FinOps Practitioner to support Splunk Cloud FinOps with cloud cost visibility, commitment management, and financial accountability. The role emphasizes AWS Savings Plans, cost analysis, and optimization to drive cloud gross margin outcomes.

As an individual contributor, you will partner with engineering, finance, architecture, and product teams to translate spend into actionable financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years.
• 3+ years in FinOps or cloud financial management.
• Hands-on AWS cost management experience.
• Experience with AWS Savings Plans, reservations, coverage and risk.
• Ability to obtain a FinOps credential within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and execution of AWS Savings Plan purchases to improve commitment coverage.
• Translate cloud and AI spend into financial insights for gross margin.
• Drive cloud cost optimization across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Build forecasts, budgets, cost models, dashboards, and executive reports.
• Support sound commitment decisions and sustain savings improvements.
