Job summary

Arnold & Porter is seeking a Cloud Application Engineer to join our Technology team. This role supports the firm's messaging, cloud, identity, and infrastructure environments, including Exchange Server/Online, Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365, in a hybrid, remote-capable setting.

You will assist with administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, contribute to secure, reliable services, participate in migrations and projects, and provide Tier 2/3 support with clear communication and thorough

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server and/or Exchange Online.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure fundamentals and Microsoft Entra ID concepts.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and applications.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Intune and/or Workspace ONE (AirWatch).
Familiarity with email-security concepts such as spam filtering and phishing mitigation.
Exposure to Litera Metadact, LISTSERV, or collaboration tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day administration and monitoring of on-premises Exchange Server and Exchange Online in a hybrid environment.
Monitor and troubleshoot global address list synchronization across directory environments.
Support configuration and monitoring of email-protection platforms and mail-flow policies.
Assist with administration of Litera Metadact and LISTSERV.
Support enrollment and configuration for devices managed through Intune and Workspace ONE.
Assist with user provisioning for enterprise SaaS platforms.
Monitor system health, mail queues, and incident documentation.
Perform routine maintenance including patching, certificate renewals, and backups.
Provide Tier 2/3 support and help with change-management processes.
