Job summary

Bearing Technology, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, deploy, and operate large-scale, high-performance data environments for commercial and federal clients.

The role is remote with occasional client visits to Columbia, MD, and requiresSECRET clearance or higher where applicable. You will work with a team of cloud engineers to implement infrastructure as code, manage Linux-based systems, and leverage tools like Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes to deliver robust data

Qualifications

• Cloud engineering experience in building data environments.
• Linux distributions (CentOS/ Rocky/ Red Hat) and scripting skills.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and data streaming tech.
• Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tooling familiarity.
• Security clearances or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and operate scalable cloud data environments.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to meet requirements.
• IaC implementation with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible/Salt.
• Monitor performance and security of data platforms.
• Support Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch and related data technologies.
