Job summary

BTI360 seeks a Platform Engineer to join our Washington, DC area team. You will design and build data discovery applications and scalable cloud-native infrastructure, enabling developers to deploy, monitor, and secure services.

In a Lean Agile environment you’ll participate in design reviews, CI/CD improvements, and collaboration with security and operations to meet federal standards, onsite near Herndon, VA. Strong collaboration and clear communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Security clearance (Secret or higher) or the ability to obtain one.
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tools (Git, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
• Experience building scalable, containerized software in AWS-based cloud environments.
• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK) for automated deployments.
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS, and related config management.
• Strong Bash/Python scripting and command-line skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to commute within two hours of Herndon, VA for onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Work with Lean Agile teams to build mission-critical production apps focused on data discovery and analysis.
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leverage modern build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and delivery speed.
• Design and develop software and cloud-native infrastructure for scalable, secure platforms that support microservices.
• Develop platform capabilities enabling dev teams to build, deploy, and monitor apps efficiently.
• Collaborate with software developers, security engineers, and ops to ensure reliability, observability, and federal compliance.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines for repeatable deployments.
