Job summary

Everforth ECS in Arlington, VA is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team in office or remote. You will design and operate secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, implement IaC with Terraform and Ansible, and integrate CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.

You will enforce security controls, work with DISA STIGs and NIST 800-53, support containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, and collaborate with developers and security teams to push DevSecOps practices forward.

Qualifications

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and IaC in cloud environments.
• Strong Linux and Windows administration experience.
• Experience with AWS and security/compliance standards (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DISA STIGs).
• Citizenship and ability to pass Public Trust; degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years general work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, Ansible, and/or CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that bake security in from the start.
• Write automation in Ansible and IaC to reduce manual work and ensure consistency.
• Deploy and troubleshoot cloud-native apps across EC2, VPC, EKS, S3, RDS, and related services.
• Implement and maintain security controls including IAM, encryption, network security, SELinux, and kernel hardening.
• Apply DISA STIGs and ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP.
