Job summary

Optum is seeking a Cloud Data Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize a modern cloud data platform across Azure and Snowflake. The role supports remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office requirements in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C.

for four days a week. You will develop CI/CD pipelines with GitActions, manage Terraform IaC, and collaborate with teams to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in setting up and managing Cloud Data Platform infrastructure for Azure Data Stack (ADF, SHIR, LogicApps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage).
• 3+ years Snowflake configuration and optimization.
• 3+ years DevOps with GitActions CI/CD and Terraform.
• 2+ years Databricks for data engineering and analytics workloads.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled data engineering tools.
• Experience in Agile delivery methodologies.
• Solid cloud architecture and IaC principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Cloud Data Platform infrastructure for Azure Data Factory and related resources.
• Configure and optimize Snowflake data warehouse solutions to meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitActions for seamless deployments.
• Use Terraform to automate and manage cloud resources as code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure for high availability and performance.
• Implement security best practices to safeguard data and resources.
