Job summary

Optum Insight is seeking an experienced Cloud Data Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure for Azure Data Factory, SHIR, ADLS Gen2, and Snowflake. You will develop CI/CD pipelines with GitActions and use Terraform for IaC to automate resources.

You will work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office requirements for Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. four days a week when needed. Strong collaboration and security practices are a must.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience building Cloud Data Platform infrastructure on Azure (ADF, SHIR, LogicApps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage).
• 3+ years Snowflake configuration/optimization.
• 3+ years DevOps with GitActions CI/CD and Terraform.
• 2+ years Databricks for data engineering/analytics.
• Experience with AI-enabled data engineering tools.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Cloud Data Platform infra for Azure Data Factory, SHIR, LogicApps, ADLS Gen2, and Blob Storage.
• Configure and optimize Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitActions.
• Use Terraform for IaC to automate cloud resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements and deliver scalable cloud solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform for high availability and performance.
• Implement security best practices for data and cloud resources.
