Job summary

Network Designs, Inc. (NDi) seeks a Cloud Data Platform Engineer to design and operate core compute, storage, and analytics services across cloud and hybrid environments. You will drive automation, monitoring, and reliability for enterprise data workloads and AI/ML pipelines.

The role requires 6+ years in systems engineering, strong AWS/Linux skills, and the ability to obtain FAA suitability. Remote work from an approved US state is supported with occasional FAA coordination.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, CS or related field.
Minimum 6 years of systems engineering or similar experience.
Hands-on with AWS, Linux, infrastructure automation and CI/CD tooling.
Experience designing and implementing complex IT solutions.
Ability to obtain FAA Contractor Personnel Suitability.

Responsibilities

Design, operate, and improve core platform services for data, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
Manage compute, storage, and automation across cloud and hybrid environments.
Develop and maintain Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tooling.
Monitor performance, capacity, logs, backups, and reliability metrics.
Coordinate with multiple teams to resolve dependencies and risks.
Document architectures, runbooks, and security evidence.
