Job summary

Data Ideology is seeking a Cloud Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern cloud data platforms. You will drive Lakehouse architectures, semantic data models, and integrations across ERP, finance, and operations to enable trusted analytics and reporting.

In this remote role, you will mentor junior architects and partner with IAM, governance, and business stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and ensure scalable, secure data solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture or cloud data engineering.
• Hands-on design and implementation of cloud data solutions using Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and/or Databricks.
• Knowledge of Lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, Apache Hudi).
• Experience with semantic data models for reporting at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture for cloud-native data platforms and Lakehouse designs.
• Design scalable data models for ERP, finance, operations, and projects.
• Lead modernization and migration strategies for legacy data environments.
• Build real-time and batch data pipelines (ELT/ETL) and ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture.
