Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Cloud Architect/Engineer to shape enterprise cloud strategy and define scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions. You will collaborate with network, security, development, and operations teams to advance cloud adoption and support technology roadmaps.

The role includes designing infrastructure for Generative AI use cases while ensuring governance, performance, and continuity across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 12+ years experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years.
• 12+ years of progressive cloud architecture and engineering experience, including 4 years in a senior Cloud Architect role.
• Strong experience designing and implementing hybrid/multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) at enterprise scale.
• Proven expertise with Generative AI infrastructure, including RAG pipelines and scalable vector databases.
• Deep hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Strong background in cloud networking components like VPCs, firewalls, private links, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute.
• Demonstrated experience with security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise technology vision by defining strategic blueprints for cloud technologies and Generative AI applications.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient hybrid cloud architectures using cloud-agnostic tools.
• Architect and manage core cloud networking components like VPCs and transit gateways.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automating provisioning and configuration management.
• Employ comprehensive cloud security measures, including encryption, threat monitoring, and misconfiguration alerts.
• Optimize cloud cost and utilization through resource tagging and continuous cost analysis.
• Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts.
