AVANGRID SERVICE COMPANY is seeking a Lead Engineer - Cloud & Gen AI to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure for Generative AI applications. You will collaborate with data scientists to deploy AI models while ensuring security, reliability, and high performance.

Led by Senior Manager - IT Infrastructure, the role requires strong Terraform expertise and a proactive approach to stay current with cloud and GenAI advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, complex network solutions.
• 3+ years of AI experience; strong ML/GenAI foundation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI researchers to deploy and optimize AI models.
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance of cloud-based AI systems.
• Utilize Terraform for IaC automation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Stay current with advances in AWS, Azure, and Generative AI and apply them to improve systems.
• Document best practices, processes, and procedures.
• Support GenAI applications for Generative AI workloads.
