Job summary

You will ensure that statements and transactions comply with federal regulations, sponsor requirements, and institutional policies while providing clear information to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a non-accounting degree with adequate accounting coursework including intermediate accounting and upper-level financial and accounting courses.
• At least 1 year of experience in research finance or accounting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Meet deadlines for established goals in an accurate and efficient manner across all assigned areas.
• Provide support and assistance in developing, analyzing, and communicating actionable financial information to stakeholders.
• Review and validate financial information, assumptions, and methodologies based on financial concepts and internal systems.
• Interpret grants and contracts executed through the Office of Sponsored Research and record post-award financial activities in PeopleSoft.
• Ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and audit standards.
