Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Billing and Compliance Manager for remote operation with reporting to the Director of Research Finance. The role leads the clinical research billing compliance team and collaborates across departments to ensure accurate, compliant billing for research services.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of CMS/FDA regulations, a track record in managing a billing compliance program, and 5–7 years of relevant experience across research administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• 7 years of relevant experience in research administration or clinical research billing, with 5 years at a large academic institution or similar.
• 2 years managing a clinical research billing compliance team.
• Expert knowledge of Federally Funded/FDA regulated research regulations and the clinical trials process.
• Certified Clinical Research Professional or other relevant certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead change management to improve the clinical research billing compliance program.
• Serve as expert resource on applicable laws and standards for billing compliance.
• Oversee billing compliance activities including charge reviews, audits, and inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to clinical trial billing.
• Coordinate with investigators and external institutions on collaborative research initiatives.
• Manage accounts receivable, billing, forecasting, and reporting.
