Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Clinical Research Analyst to support financial and compliance aspects of clinical research, focusing on grant/contract interpretation, post-award management, and accurate reporting. The incumbent will ensure statements and transactions comply with federal regulations and sponsor requirements while providing clear information to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in research finance or accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and double-entry accounting.
• Experience with grant and contract management.
• Ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders clearly.
• Familiarity with CTMS and federal audit standards.

Responsibilities

• Meet deadlines for established goals across all areas of responsibility.
• Provide analysis and communicate actionable financial information to stakeholders.
• Review and validate financial information and methodologies.
• Interpret grants and contracts recorded in the Office of Sponsored Research and post-award activities in PeopleSoft.
• Ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and audit standards.
• Coordinate post-award activities and prepare financial progress reports and forecasts.
• Prepare backup financial documentation and schedules of expenditures of federal awards.
• Participate in external audits of government funds and support audit inquiries.
• Manage revenue-related activities including invoicing sponsors and AR follow-up.
• Collaborate with leaders to review monthly performance and assist with financial analysis.
• Assist in annual budget preparation and alignment with objectives.
