UChicago Medicine is hiring a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to support the Infusion Patient Access team in a fully remote capacity. The role focuses on claim denials resolution and drug reimbursement strategy for hospital-administered treatments across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.

The position offers a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and requires strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Illinois and Indiana pharmacist licensure eligibility within 60 days of employment.
• Significant expertise in hospital drug reimbursement and claim denials resolution.
• Clinical pharmacy experience (2–4 years) in a hospital setting.
• Experience with CAR-T and gene therapy reimbursement.
• Experience at an academic medical center with a wide range of disease states.

Responsibilities

• Supports and works closely with the Pharmacy Denials Specialist.
• Leads and assists with development and optimization of claim denials program.
• Presents denials data findings and resolution steps to pharmacy and precertification teams.
• Performs drug reimbursement analyses and presents data to leaders in pharmacy, revenue cycle, finance and managed care.
• Performs other duties and cross-covers oncology when needed.
