Job summary

Medix is seeking a remote Pharmacist to join their Quality Pharmacy Operations team. The Clinical Pharmacist will deliver patient-centered clinically collaborative medication consultations to help people live healthier lives. The role focuses on care for older adults, medication reviews, and telephonic clinical consults.

Contract: 3 months Oct-Dec. Pay: $60 per hour. Active Texas license required; remote position open to qualified candidates in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted pharmacy license in state of Texas.
  • 3 years of Clinical Pharmacy Practice experience.
  • Experience with Medicare STARs HEDIS Measures.
  • Call Center Experience.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephonic medication consultations that meet/exceed production quality metrics.
  • Complete annual medication review with emphasis on patient assessment, counseling, and safe use of medications.
  • Assess patients for medication adherence barriers and develop a plan to maximize medication success.
  • Deliver high quality evidence-based therapeutic recommendations to providers.
  • Document clinical consultations into internal database.
  • Maintain high clinical knowledge of chronic disease states and changes in pharmacy practice for adult and geriatric patient populations.
  • Participate in staff meetings and other development opportunities.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a remote Pharmacist to join their Quality Pharmacy Operations team. This role involves delivering patient-centered clinically collaborative medication consultations to help people live healthier lives. The Clinical Pharmacist will focus on Care for Older Adults, perform medication reviews, and provide telephonic patient-centered clinical consults.

Contract: 3 months Oct-Dec.

Pay: $60

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct telephonic medication consultations that meet/exceed production quality metrics.
  • Complete annual medication review with emphasis on patient assessment, counseling, and safe use of medications.

  • Bilingual preferred: Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Russian.
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing and highly matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post Graduate Training Pharmacy Residency and/or Fellowship.
  • Board certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS).
  • Certified Geriatric Pharmacist.
  • MBA/MPH Degree.
