Job summary

Medix is seeking a Pharmacy Care Coordinator to manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls to support medication adherence, prescription refills, provider follow-ups, and member outreach in a fast-paced call center environment.

You will review prescription claim documentation, resolve escalated inquiries, translate prescriber notes when needed, and support Medicare drug-related issues, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working for a healthcare organization or pharmacy.
  • Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages high-volume inbound and outbound calls to support medication adherence, prescription refills, provider follow-ups, and member outreach.
  • Navigate multiple systems, deliver accurate information to members, providers, and clinical staff.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages high-volume inbound and outbound calls to support medication adherence, prescription refills, provider follow-ups, and member outreach in a fast-paced call center environment.
  • Strong multitasking skills, the ability to navigate multiple systems, and delivering accurate information to members, providers, and clinical staff.
  • Reviewing prescription claim documentation, handling escalated inquiries across various communication channels, translating prescriber notes, and supporting Medicare drug-related issues.
  • Provides administrative support and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong customer service, professionalism, organizational skills, and strict adherence to HIPAA and compliance policies are essential.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience working for a healthcare organization or pharmacy.
  • Preferred: Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician.
Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience in call centers handling about 70 calls a day.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
