Solventum, a forward‑looking healthcare company, is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDI) to review inpatient records for accuracy and compliance, ensuring proper SOI/ROM, medical necessity, and appropriate reimbursement.

This remote US role requires an RN license with BSN or higher and 7+ years of nursing experience, including 5+ in acute care, with MS-DRG knowledge; onboarding may involve on-site sessions and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• RN license with a BSN or higher and verified prior to start.
• Seven years of nursing experience, plus five years in inpatient acute care.
• Experience auditing, ICD-10/PCS, quality initiatives, and MS-DRG/APR-DRG.
• CCDS/CCS/CDIP with seven years in clinical documentation/DRG validation.

Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain an accuracy rate around 98%.
• Query physicians to clarify incomplete documentation.
• Collaborate with coding staff for ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG assignment.
• Support documentation improvement initiatives and education.
