Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a full-time Insurance Verification & Authorization Coordinator for a National Remote role, enabling work from anywhere in the U.S. You will coordinate with patients, payers, and clinicians to ensure timely access to care.

You will manage prior authorization processes, including submissions, notifications, appeals, follow-ups and ensure compliance with payer requirements; training is provided and overtime may be needed during peak periods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in health care industry and with health care insurance.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Flexibility to work overtime during peak season and a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead insurance verification and prior authorization coordination with patients, payers, and clinical teams.
• Oversee Prior Authorization including submission, notification, appeals, follow-up, and resolution.
• Facilitate patient movement through intake and authorization lifecycle per policy and payer rules.
