Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation seeks a Climate Adaptation Planner/Designer to join our Water Infrastructure & Climate Adaptation team in the NYC area. You will work on climate resilience projects across the Northeast, collaborating with planners, engineers, and ecologists to develop nature-based solutions.

Responsibilities include coastal flood resilience design, stakeholder engagement, and producing reports, maps, and graphics for public audiences, with opportunities to present findings and advance

Qualifications

• Master's degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience in climate adaptation and resilience.
• Experience in schematic/conceptual design for flood resilience and nature-based solutions.
• Familiarity with climate risk assessment, climate justice concepts, and cost-benefit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop climate resilience plans focusing on coastal and interior flood resilience with project teams and stakeholders.
• Create schematic and conceptual designs for blue-green infrastructure and nature-based solutions.
• Lead community engagement, stakeholder outreach, and graphics for public workshops.
• Prepare maps, diagrams, and graphics for public-facing reports and presentations.
• Contribute to climate risk and vulnerability assessments addressing sea level rise and extreme events.
