Job summary

California Dental Association seeks a Claims Representative II in a remote-first role with occasional travel and in-office meetings. You will investigate liability claims, coordinate with adjusters and counsel, and help establish reserves and defense strategies under supervision.

The role requires 3+ years of liability claims experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred Associate/Bachelor’s degree along with proficiency in claims software and MS Office. Travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years insurance experience in a liability claims or similar position.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with claims management software.
• Proficiency with MS Windows Office (AS400 or similar database).

Responsibilities

• Investigate and determine cause and origin of loss; coordinate with outside adjusters and counsel.
• Develop defense strategies and budgets with supervisor guidance.
• Negotiate claim resolutions with claimants under supervision.
• Manage diaries and timely correspondence with insureds, vendors and claimants.
• Review vendor bills and approve payments under supervision.
• Attend meetings with policyholders and defense attorneys as needed.
