Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Representative, Auto | Property Damage, to analyze and process auto and general liability property damage claims. The role requires evaluating damage, determining payments, and documenting files in line with policy requirements.

The position emphasizes timely action plans, subrogation opportunities, and maintaining strong client relations. A Bachelor’s degree and state adjusting licenses are preferred or required as applicable, with a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; state adjusting licenses as required.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements
• Ability to review and assess Property Damage estimates and related expenses to negotiate first and third party claims
• Knowledge of total loss processing, state salvage forms and title requirements (preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
• Analytical and interpretive skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to meet or exceed Service Expectations

Responsibilities

• Processes auto and general liability property damage claims; assesses damage, makes payments, and codes files per policy.
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state deadlines and move files toward resolution.
• Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
• Communicates claim actions with insured, client, and broker as appropriate.
• Maintains professional client relations.
• Performs coverage, liability, and damage analysis on claims.
• Supports the organization’s quality programs.
• Travels as required.
