Job summary

Alight Solutions Ltd is seeking a Claims Operations Manager to oversee a claims team, drive service levels, and align client expectations with operational performance. The role emphasizes strategic oversight, accountability, and continuous improvement across STD/LTD benefit programs.

You will lead a virtual team, monitor KPIs, ensure compliant service delivery, and collaborate with client organizations to resolve complex cases while maintaining high-quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience of three or more years in STD/LTD product and claims management.
• Proven ability to manage day-to-day execution and projects to achieve business goals.
• Associate degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• Display excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Have previous supervisory experience and the ability to prioritize and assign work.
• Advanced level computer skills using Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
• Show technical proficiency with data, technology and business tools.
• Strong analytical business acumen and creative agility.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating communication among Customer Care, Administrative, and Clinical teams and partners.
• Ensuring legal compliance and confidentiality in notifications to employees and clients.
• Reviewing documentation to support claim approvals/denials and audits.
• Acting as Subject Matter Expert for Leave of Absence programs and guiding policies.
• Leading a virtual team with clear roles and accountability to meet business goals.
• Providing diagnostic analysis to identify root causes and develop preventive solutions.
• Managing team performance against KPIs and maintaining service guarantees.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations including workload distribution and development.
• Responding to client/internal inquiries with professional communication and participation in meetings.
• Monitoring schedule adherence and communicating process changes.
