Cardinal Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Management Audit leader to oversee audit teams, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and drive process improvements. This role focuses on reviewing clinical documentation, coordinating with insurers, and maintaining timely responses to audits.

The position emphasizes leadership, project management, and collaboration across teams to ensure accurate payments and adherence to policies within a nationwide scope.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management or related healthcare operations.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Leadership, project management, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Urology or wound care product knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Audit team and respond to audit requests in a timely manner; develop and implement audit processes.
• Focus on quality assurance, quality improvement, and compliance with Federal and State regulations.
• Lead the team reviewing clinical documentation for accuracy and compile response packets for audits.
• Coordinate with team members to complete tasks promptly and to high standards.
• Provide monthly feedback on audits, recoupment inquiries, and payor-related policy issues.
• Oversee all aspects of audits (TPE, CERT, RAC, pre/post payment, or 3rd party) and respond within deadlines.
• Manage recoupment or refund requests and respond within required timeframes.
• Monitor, track, and trend all current, in-progress, and completed audits.
• Gather and review documentation from insurers for accuracy and submission approval.
• Maintain communication with CMS and other auditors about issues; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Review and release claims marked for QA review in a timely manner.
