Job summary

C3 Risk & Insurance Services is seeking a Claims Advocate in San Diego, CA. You will serve as the liaison between clients, claimants, producers, and carriers, proactively advocating for clients to achieve the best claim outcomes.

The role requires 2+ years of claims experience (General Liability, Auto or Property preferred), a P&C license or Claims Certification, and strong math and communication skills. Travel to client sites may be required, and remote work options exist.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of claims experience, ideally General Liability, Auto or Property.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
• Well organized with good math and numerical accuracy.
• Active P&C license or Claims Certification; college degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a claim: evaluate coverage, enter into system, report to carrier, and follow up.
• Coordinate between client and insurer to discuss claim/coverage issues.
• Advocate for the client’s best interests during the claims process.
• Assist with reporting procedures and service commitments.
• Provide technical responses to client inquiries regarding claims.
• Prepare and maintain claim status reports and files.
• Invite and participate in formal claim reviews and client presentations.
• Notify team of accounts with adverse claim history and potential underwriting impact.
• Identify trends and assist risk teams to resolve issues.
• Interface with other departments to ensure high client service standards.
• Stay updated on insurance contracts and industry trends.
