Job summary

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants in California is seeking a Claims Advocate to support a diverse client portfolio across industries. You will interpret P&C policies, liaise with insurers, and guide claims to favorable outcomes within established timelines.

The role requires 3–5 years of P&C claims experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask and work independently. Local travel may be required; hybrid in-office schedule 2x/week in LA or Newport Beach.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Property & Casualty claims experience.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with the reporting of Property & Casualty (P&C) claims, interpreting policies to determine applicable coverage.
• Act as a liaison between clients and insurers to ensure timely handling and best outcomes.
• Assist clients to resolve coverage issues and negotiate settlements.
• Review summons and complaints for proper handling and reporting to carriers.
• Respond to inquiries from clients, adjusters, producers, attorneys and claimants.
• Set up and maintain claim files; prepare faxes, cover letters and other correspondence.
• Document all claim activity in agency management systems.
• Notify account managers and producers of client service, claims, or coverage concerns.
• Notify Loss Control of potential safety issues related to a claim.
• Monitor progress of claims to satisfactory conclusion.
• Participate in carrier claim reviews with the client.
• Travel locally as required.
