Job summary

Interlix Staffing presents a Civil Project Engineer role for a remote position serving the Philadelphia metro and New Jersey markets. You will perform site civil design, including grading, drainage, hydraulics, and utility design, with autonomy on mid-level assignments and coordination with a drafting team.

The ideal candidate has solid stormwater fundamentals, strong AutoCAD capability, HydroCAD experience, and NJ/PA regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering site design.
• Proven mid-level civil site design ability beyond drafting.
• AutoCAD proficiency with HydroCAD experience.
• Civil 3D proficiency including surfaces and pipe networks.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously on complex assignments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare layouts and detailed design drawings for grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Perform civil site design across land development projects (residential, commercial, industrial).
• Prepare stormwater design, supporting calculations and guidelines.
• Apply hydrology and hydraulics fundamentals to stormwater design using HydroCAD.
• Design water and sewer utilities and coordinate road-related work when needed.
• Provide clear markups to drafters for execution and maintain plan coordination.
• Research zoning and regulatory requirements and prepare permit applications.
• Participate in client conversations to understand needs and propose approaches.
