Conterra Engineering is seeking a Civil Project Manager for a fully remote role serving Colorado residents. You will lead design, project management, and QA/QC, mentoring junior staff while coordinating with clients and agencies.

The position emphasizes independent project execution in a small-team setting with limited travel. A strong background in civil/site design, 8–10+ years, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8–10+ years of civil/site design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Project management experience including scope, schedule, and budget is preferred.
• Experience with land development projects in Colorado and renewable energy projects nationwide preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently manage projects in a remote work environment.
• Flexible schedule and fully remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design and project management for land development and renewable energy projects.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, client communication, and coordination with agencies and stakeholders.
• Perform grading, drainage, utility, horizontal control, and erosion control design.
• Oversee preparation of construction plans, reports, and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Review designs for quality, constructability, and code compliance.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for design oversight and production support.
