Job summary

Jobot is seeking a civil litigation defense attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our fully remote litigation team.

The role focuses on general civil litigation defense matters, handling depositions, motions, and trials. You will work independently within a collaborative team, with strong trial experience preferred and bar admissions in NH/VT or ability to waive; MA bar is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation defense experience.
• Experience in insurance defense or general liability is a plus.
• Strong drafting, discovery, and motion practice skills.
• Trial experience or exposure preferred.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation defense matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear for hearings, conferences, mediations, and other proceedings (remote and in-person as needed)
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with or lead trial efforts where applicable
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and the courts
• Develop case strategy and analyze liability, damages, and risk exposure
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff in a remote team environment
