Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist/Technician to support Mission Critical Data Center projects in our Community Development Group. The role focuses on civil site design, permitting coordination, and construction documents, with collaboration across regions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years drafting civil projects, familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and strong communication skills. Office-based in Indianapolis with potential for remote work for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years drafting experience on civil engineering projects.
• Technical degree/diploma in related field preferred but not required if experience is sufficient.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Draft civil site designs and compute quantities for plans and profiles.
• Support engineers with field observations and construction coordination.
• Develop construction documents, reports, and studies.
• Collaborate with project partners across regions to meet schedules.
• Maintain and develop drafting standards and software workflows.
• Assist with site grading, utility design, and plan production.
